NECA | Gambling Related Harms
“You don’t have to wait for the crash to ask for help.”
We worked with NECA and Sunderland Council to create a series of awareness-raising films on the topic of gambling harms. The project will focused on two key audiences:
The general public, specifically in Primary Care settings (films to be shown on waiting room screens)
Young people – both those directly affected by gambling and those impacted by someone else’s gambling
The films needed to be attention-grabbing, while remaining concise and highly engaging. The aim was to make viewers pause and reflect — to recognise behaviours and patterns that may be present in their own lives, and begin to connect the dots.
The tone needed to strike a balance: hard-hitting enough to drive the message home, but also encouraging and empowering — offering hope and clearly signposting to available support services.
