Durham Area Youth | Promo 2.0

“To me, it is a home and it is a family.”

Fun fact, Durham Area Youth were one of our first official clients back in 2023 when we set up ThroughFilm! Back in 2023 we worked on a “We are DAY” project with the charity, as well as some event films, and it was time for a refresh.

As always with this client, we worked together to include the young people in the making of this film. It’s important to narrow down on their vision and interpretation of the charity, because they’re the ones who use the service and make it what it is. As always, the project started with pre-production, so we hosted a workshop with a group of young people to nail down some messaging, call to actions and visual elements, which formed the basis of the narrative. We love bouncing around ideas with people who care for the project and we left with some great insights into the charity and lots of inspiration in hand, ready for the shoots.
